J.L. French Automotive Castings, Inc. is dedicated to being the value leader in quality, cost, and innovative customer solutions. We use a systematic, methodical, and rigorous application of team-oriented problem solving with statistical tools that help us characterize and optimize our processes. This approach has resulted in a reputation as one of the highest quality manufacturers in the automotive aluminum die casting industry and customer PPM’s are among the lowest in the industry. The strength of our overall design, production, and delivery capabilities is reflected in the supplier quality ratings received from our major customers, including Ford’s Q1 award. Maintenance of high quality performance ratings at all customers is instrumental in obtaining new business and maintaining existing programs with our customers. The implementation of the French Operating System (FOS), our quality and data driven continuous improvement system, has established a corporate wide common process for waste reduction and a solid basis for continual improvement through the use of Lean/6 Sigma tools. The FOS process has focused our attention on those actions that will help us make the quantum leap to the next level of quality performance.
